25. PTSD and the Pandemic: Navigating Anxiety, Feeling Alone, and More
Welcome back to the Chaotic Compass podcast! Today, I’m here to talk about how the pandemic has affected not only my mental health, but so many others’. After listening to a segment on NPR about PTSD and the pandemic, I’ve come to realize just how much of a toll all of this has taken on me. From increased anxiety and irritability to difficulty controlling emotions and more, I’m here to let you know that if you are feeling any of these things, you are certainly not alone.
In this episode, I’ll discuss how the pandemic is making me feel, how I’m dealing with working from home during the pandemic, and how I’ve dealt with my kids being home while I’m working. Besides this, I’ll share with you how I’ve felt alone, unheard, and unseen in the last little while and how that has led to some arguments in my marriage. How do you deal with it all, you ask? Well, I’ll let you in on some of the things I’ve done to help myself cope. Keep listening to hear more and as always, let’s navigate the chaos together.
Another shout out to my awesome friends at Early Bird Bottle Shop for hooking me up with some Schilling Hard Cider!
